is this possible?

hello,
i need to make some kind of multiplexer but this multiplexer is used to multiplex current not voltage noting that this current can be in both direction, is that do-able??
i was thinking of using transmission gates but i am little confused about whether they will pass the exact current signal in both direction?
plz any suggestions are appreciated
thnx

hi safwatonline,
yes, it can use pass transistor, for example CD4066, which use one NMOS parallel to
one PMOS transistor, and switching will be complete.
I mean this switch behave like ideal switch.
It's limitation is voltage swing and series resistor.
for more information you can refer to datasheets of CD4066, and CD4052, CD4053, ...

Regards,
Davood.

the problem is that if the currents to be multiplixed comes from charge pump, and gm-cell,,,,and they have common mode output voltage,,so,,,it seems that transmission gate will exhibit a certain gate to source voltage ,so certain current which may not equal to the wanted multiplixed current,,,,this may require some sort of CMFB,,,transmission gate very good if multiplixing voltage but doubt if multiplixing current,,,if anyone has suggestions please send it
