I'm no expert, but I guess it depends on your application. The term 'interface' it quite vague. A quick search on google I got:

Because a CPLD is simply a collection of configurable logic gates, your 'interface' can be pretty much anything you want, YOU decide the protocol. I mean, you could have a parallel interface, with strobe/clock lines. Or serial (I2C, SPI, UART, Microwire etc..).

CPLD's don't have any 'hardwired' peripherals, any interface must be designed with logic/VHDL. Perhaps if you mentioned your application, I could be more help.

Interface I tried to make others understand the Hardware interconnection between CPLD and CPU, anyway thanks for the url.
