Hi!
I'm looking around for a microcontroller with a flash memory on-board larger than 512k byte. Do they exist? :?:
What's the maximum size of flash memories inside a microcontroller nowaday?

Thank you,

Newbye questions.

I think Freescale has a 16bit Microcontroller with 512K onchip flash memory. PIC has a maximum of 256K onchip memory. Search Freescale website for more info.

Newbye questions.

yes pal u can use that memory stick it is really awesome i advise you

Newbye questions.

why you don't connect samsung flash to your microcontroller. It's quite simple and for 16MB
Flash require only 10-12 pins for parallel
read, write and 4 for spi interface.
Spi more complicate, but parallel quite simple.
We did it by using datasheet from samsung only.
Try and you will love it.

Re: Newbye questions.

Here is one, there are many others.
Product:pIC18F452
Program Memory: Type: FLASH: Bytes: 32K
RAM: Bytes: 1536
EEPROM: Bytes: 256
I/O Ports: 34
10-bit ADC: 8
MSSP: I2C/SPI
USART: 1
PWM: 2
8/16-bit timers: 1/3
Packages:
DIP, PLCC, TQFP
Pins: 40/44

I should learn to read twice, then post once, sorry! I guess there aren't! The PIC18F8720 has 128k bytes.

Re: Newbye questions.

microchip hasn't got . You must use 18c801 series up to 4mbyte external flash
