digital pulse counter

hi all..is there a digital version of the pulse counter like the one i attached..spec: lcd, 5v pulse, 5khz, data retention, bat backup..thanks

I am sorry, i didn't understand though it may be clear enough!
Anyways, I can't see clearly how many digits are there, but i assumed that there're 4 digits, Okay right now?

You need to build decimal, four digits counter (that can count from 0000 to 9999 and resets), and display these digits on four seven segments displays, right?

You can build it using 4 cascaded stages of any 4-bit binary counter (e.g. 74HC/HCT161, you can get its datasheet from here: **broken link removed**) ... You will use assyncrounous system, i.e. the first counter (least significant digit) will be triggered via the external clock (which can be manula trigger to have a certain event counter), the next stage will be triggered by the combination that means that first stage arrived value '1001' (9 in decimal) also this value that will trigger the next stage to increment, should reset the first stage to return to zero, you can use simple two input AND gate (for simplicity), ...

Apply the same concept to the next stages as well..

Finally, to display out, you can use four BCD to 7-segments decoders with outputs decoded directly to 7-segments display, (but take care do you using Common kathod or Common Anode 7-segments!!), you can use SN7446A..

actually, i need 10 digits with a decimal point at the last two didits..cant use 7seg disp..way high current consumption..looking for LCD display :D

If you know how to program microcontrollers, then your job will be much compact and easy!!!

i do know how to program an mcu..but for this project, i just need a pulse counter display..the pulse train would be outputted fr a measurement IC


anyway thanks for your comments..if u happen to come across the LCD pulse counter, do let me know..
