please compare the best application for PIC MCU development, in two different senses:

1) RAD (routines support for several peripherals, easy design)
2) Best performance and compilation

I set some of them for discussion

pic basic pro
parsic
ccs compiler
hi-tech compiler
flashbasic
IAR compiler
,....more please

I understand the Basic-C deep difference for this reason I set two point to discussion

Thanks

I prefer PCW / PCWH C-compiler from CCS . It is very easy to use and have a lot of built in functions and it produces very small hex files

Here is a comparison of different C-compilers for PIC MCU's.

Hi nebisman,

i prefer the HITECH(PICC)/MPLAB Kombination because of the performance of the HITECH-peoples C versus PIC-architecture solutions. The code size isn´t the main stress in my eyes but I think it is the best value for money developement arrangement.

By the way, I try to migrate now onto the PIC18F and therefore I am keen on a way to have permanent acess to the PI*CC*18 version of the
compiler. Somebody knows how??

Furthermore I am very happy about the achievement of microchip to present a 32bit version of MPLAB in the 21th century. Unbelievable.

Catch you later

Curgi
