How to apply an IIR filters to a 2D signal?

IIR filters

Hi every one,
I want to apply an IIR filter like butterworth or chebyshev to a 2D signal(a digital image)
but image processing toolbox in Matlab does not support IIR filters.
I dont know how to do that.Should I use an other toolbox?
I will be thankfull if you give me an idea

hi
u must use digital signal processing toolbox in matlab.or use butterwoth or other filter in imageprocessing toolbox by general transform for example bilinear or log.
