multisim2000

Hi,

In my job we are planning to buy a electronic simulation program. I know there are to well-know programs: Pspice and Multisim2000.

It is hard for us to choice. Some guys want Multisim2000, other prefer Pspice.

Would Pspice and Multisim2000 user please share your valuable opinions with me why should I choice Pspice or Multisim2000? And give me some guideline how to choice these programs.

Thanks in advance!
Best Regards,

Hi

First of all, i think you need to request an evaluation version of both software to compare schematic capture and simulation speed for a same schematic.

Second, try to compare the libraries of both software and the availability of models for the components you use the most frequently.

Third, try to have information on how to create your own models for component witch are not in the standard library provided with both sofware.

Fourth, i think that the support from the provider of each software is important, through a good web site with faq section, users forum, guidelines on how to use the software and naturally a good hotline.

I use Pspice for 10 years, and i am satisfied for all the four points.

Hope this will help you.
