For some of our members who are interested in pic moving message like me,,should visit http://www.josepino.com there is an interesting circuit ther and i have build it myself and it works fine,the diagram is included with hex file but you can use icprog software to write your own message in the eprom area. it simple.

Hi OBIALOR ,

Nice work but if u use 74HC595( Double buffered shift register) instead of 74HC164 u can use your circuit as General Message Display beside using it as Moving Message Display.

yes Ahmad, that,s why i show the circuit here so that we can expand it more,can you give some discription on how to use 74hc595.,although scarce in my area.

74LS164 are low speed.. in terms of ms.. and in HC series they are high speed.. which means to say if you implement your display using 74ls164 you cannot see your display..
