sine to square wave convertor

i am designing a pll based clock generator of 2.4 GHz. For that i need to convert sinusoidal output of VCO to square wave with sharp clock edges. i don't have any clue, how to do it. which will work for GHz . plz suggest me regarding this.

sine to square wave converter ghz

dont know but a sharp edge at 2.4GHz means a b/w of much more than 2.4GHz. Seems too high.

square wave from sinus

actually i require rise time or fall time of 10 % of total time period.

It is possible to use an opamp in open-loop configuration. You need to have enough slew-rate to drive your load at the desired frequency.
You can refer to the following article:
"A 2.4-GHz RF Sampling Receiver Front-end in 0.18um", Jakonis et al., JSSC June 2005 (vol. 40, no. 6)
Hope it helps
