A loaded monopole antenna has a coil (inductor) in it.

is the coil is used to resonate with the capacitance of the monopole at desired freq so that the ant become pure resistive?or what?

how do i calculate the radiation resistance for loaded or un loaded monopole? also how do i calculate the cap?
does any one have a program to do this stuff?
also a monopole depend on the image theorm so i need a vertual ground how do i make it practically?
