Can there be odd number of poles(N+S) in a motor?
thanks

Re: n pole motor

This means there are total n poles in the motor.
Poles cannot exist except in pairs, i.e. the total number of poles is an even number.

Poles act as sources/sinks of magnetic field, so they must exist in pairs.
