PCB Design software Layout Plus or DXP?

Hi,

Witch of these software are better to design a 2 layer PCB:
1) Cadance Layout Plus 10.0
or
2) Altium DXP 2004
 

Layou Plus is beter.
You can routing on 2 layer's manualy or automaticaly.
Layou have diferent "automatic routing strategy".
The strategy files are stored in: Lauou Plus/Data/***.SF
Layou have very performant autoruter (Spectra).

but i which of them we can design a un-metalized 2 layer board? in many products if we use metalized 2 layer board, the PCB costs will be very higher than if we use unmetalized one and use resistor pads instead of vias.
 

i using orcad-layout but protel is very powerfull in pcb design. and pallet of free track and hole size are very better.
if you not start i filling use protel dxp.
 

You would like Protel it's the best program for pcb design. i love it and tried plenty and found Protel the best by far it's got a bit of steep learning curve but really easy to use once youo grasped it

try it you might like it

use @ltium DXP 2004 to design less than 6 layer pcb and use Cadance Layout Plus 10.0 to design more than 6 layer pcb and high speed pcb

I use Protel DXP. I think this software is well.
