how to import board outline from autocad14 to allegro,
i tried convertin into *.dxf and importing but it was giving the error

"ERROR: Invalid program arguments.
Terminating program."

please help
thanks in advance

Board outline should be a closed polyline, then only it will be imported as shape in
Allegro.

i tried the same but i am not able to get the import it in allegro,
can u give the steps in detail to be follawed while doing the same.

and can u attach a board outline *.dfx file created by autocad and which can be imported in allegro so that i can try with that file.

thankyou

If you are using a newer version of Acad try exporting to Acad 12 dxf, also you need to map the layers IE: layer your board shape is on to the Board Geometry outline layer, to create a .cnv file.
It will usually import a shape with lines on top of the shape outline, delete the lines before trying to Z-copy the outline to the various keep-ins.

Also - IMPORTANT - make sure that the board units match the Acad units and you have a sufficient drawing size, the origin needs to be inside your board drawing area.
