Hello

Where can I find a programmer for PIC using only MAX232 and serial port, instead of JDM silly circuit. Also software is needed.

Lothar Stolz (web page: stolz.de.be) has a pretty nice Microchip Serial ICD2 Clone design... The controlling software is MPLAB...

But thats NOT what I need. I think I made my self clear enough, for Godess sake guys, you think I don't know ICD2 ??

I need a programmer only not ICD2, as the title implies, simple enough using MAX232 only, and a neat software that uses serial port, just like JDM, but not JDM :)

You cannot make a programmer using only serial port and max232. The reason is that the PIC requires 13V to kick it into programming mode, that is why most programmers use an additional charge pump circuit.
Alternatively, some "programmers" merely send code to a preprogrammmed chip with a bootloader. Those, then are simple max232 "programmers".
