op amp booster

Hi everybody?
I've question about gain booster

I designed folded cascode opamp with gain booster
but I don' know exactly how much current flow in booster circuit
(I've designed main opamp and booster have the same current)
what's the relationship with current in booster?

Added after 2 minutes:

oh i've another question

gain booster circuit's unity gain frequency affect total block's(folded cascode with gain booster) unity gain frequency??

thanks for reading my text

op amp current booster

the booster must be faster than the main amp. (i.e. it's fu should be larger than fu of main amp)
cause u don't want it add an another pole in ur main amp.

gain booster

Hi.
Usually we consider a lower current for gain-booster. That's because we always like to have less power consumption. On the other hand, gain of the gain-booster is usually larger for smaller current values.
As you know, the gain-booster path introduces a zero (because we have two paths, a slow path and a fast path -> Razavi book) This zero can degrade the frequency response of the whole amplifier. So we usually use another capacitor to compensate this effect (place the comp. cap. on the output node of gain-booster -> K. Bult paper about gain boosting scheme).

op amp booster circuit

Hi EZT,

Do you K. Bult's paper which is published in 1991? If you can, please upload it here since as I know there are lots of people looking for it.

gain boosted folded cascoded opamp

hi
i found k. bult's paper in ieee explore
but there's nothing published in 1991.
However i think that is number 6 "fast settling CMOS ......."
what do you think about it?

And that paper says gain booster stage need not to be fast
which is opposite of BTREND's idea.
?????confused..

good day~

folded cascode gain boost

that paper is published in 1990,name is :A fast-settling cmos op amp for sc circuits with 90-db dc gain.and in this paper, the relationship between the gainboost amp and the amp are decribed in detials.which is a very classical paper i read.maybe you can find it by google.

operational amplifier current boost

Hi ljy4468.
Here is Klaas Bult paper about gain-boosting.

booster opamp

Actually, the original paper is not from IEEE, but from a magazine named something like "Analog Signal Processing with VLSI" (I can not remember exactly), publisher is Kluwer Online in 1990.

Hello Guys !

I asked this article concerning the gain boost to improve settling time .The publication name your are looking for is here :

I wrote it again

"Klaas Bult
The CMOS Gain-Boosting Technique"
1991 pp.119-135 Analog Integrared Circuits and Signal Processing

If someone can upload it ,thank

gain boost folded cascode

enjoy it.

little current in gain boost

folded cascode opamp gain boost

i think the booster consume less current
