I had same problem when i started 20 days back. I think it depends on what u want to do. I simulated some microstrip,CPW structures and compared the characteristic impedance with theoritical ones. Plus I did 2,3 examples from manual. I faced problem only with PORTS. Its better you get thorough in this first. there are some material in ansoft site and this forum about ports. hope these wud help u
