Isolated 485

Hi to all. Actually I have develop a system with a RS485 interface. I`m using a MAX1480 device, it have an excellent performance but is very expensive. Anybpdy know a replacement for this device?. I need an isolated device. Thanks and regards.

U can use a non-isolated 485 transceiver and 3 optocoupler (1-rx, 2-tx, 3-Sense)... and a floating powr source for transceiver...
If i have time I'll draw tomorrow a schematic for this...

Here is an user manual with schematic for an opto isolated rs232 to rs485
convetter.
