Protel99SE "Pad-hole"

Hi,

Anyone know how to set the pad hole to rectangle? I know how to set the pad to rectangle but the hole i didn't know??

Please let me know if you know...

try posting in the pcb routing forum and you can expect a reply up there...regards
 

You cannot make a rectangular pad hole in Pr0tel99SE. Rectangular holes have to be routed or punched by the fab.

You should call your board fab and discuss with them what they expect for fab instructions. Normally, you would mark the location of the square or rectangular hole center with a unique size pad in the layout edtor. You would then put a reference note on the drill drawing for that pad describing the size and shape you desire, and whether or not it is to be plated.

All slots and non-round holes are handled the same way when you layout a PCB - with instructions to the fab in notes.
