wasp-net

Basically it's a moment method based code (Fritz Arndt is the guru); anyway there are other models with FEM, BEM, MOM and even FDTD numerical techniques. The user interface is very similar to Mician Microwave Wizard since there was a unique devoloping team in the past.
I think it's a good and fast software for waveguide problems.

wasp-net download

Looks like the product is mainly used for waveguides, mode matching is a good choice.
I wonder how it combines FDTD, FEM, MoM. Does it come with all these engines built in, or just taking the s-parameters from separate simulations?

wasp net

Hi loucy,

The software has many built in models of waveguide transitions; each one is solved with the more appropriate method.

Regards.

wasp net vs microwave wizard

HI All

I was told that there is a demo available for download but I haven't seen a link - only for a trial. Anyone know anything about it?

This program is the top for high frequency passive filter project.
A similat too is Mician

wasp-net program

yes, wasp-net and mician wizard are twins.
Arndt and Bornemann and other worked together ~15 years ago.
afterwards they dropped off (already long ago).
and we have two similar products now.
more exact to say, we have no one :)
since they have alike and much become wiser strategy of protection.
even demo versions they give only to company, which they have some information about. i think they hide themself from each other. :)
