CDMA 2000 might be the future.. but i strongly feel it wud take atleast sometime from now before all networks become 3g!! but that will be the time when
3G and Beyond" would be introduced..that is the time when we wud have 4g networks!! so its kinda ever expanding.. here 4g primarly wud use only packet switching, which thereby reduce delay in transmission, compared to 3g which uses both circuit and packet switched data...
we need to wait till japan's NTT DoCoMo starts its first 4g network..
OFDM( MultiBand OFDM incase of WiMedia UWB) is way better and more industry support than DS-UWB(CDMA based).. Recently IEEE abandoned TG3a since they failed to standardise on one technology for past 3 years... Anyway with lot of industry support from companies like Intel,TI,ST,samsung ..
definitly OFDM will win for UWB.
Yes, little basic communication knowledge, read some books first. Those U mentioned are total different things.
For CDMA, it is Qualcomm's standard; in the 4G or other next communication standard, all the partners never take the CDMA, they support OFDM.
