measure pulse width

How do i measure Pulse width Modulation (PWM) ?
with a oscilloscope?

How do i measure the Duty Cycle of the PWM?
with a oscilloscope?

How do i measure the Pulse width?
with a oscilloscope?

How do i measure the Time constant?
with a oscilloscope?

How do i measure the rise time and fall time?
with a oscilloscope?

how to Measure the Period and frequency of the PWM?
with a oscilloscope?

If you have a digital osciloscope (e.g. Lecroy Waverunner), all the measurement can be done easily. And, it's not wise to explain lengthly here. Pls refer to the user guide of the osciloscope and search for the topic, e.g. duty cycle, fall time, rise time, frequency, etc.

U can use any function generator which generates diffent pulse shape.after connecting the function generator with oscillioscope u can set the x-axis and y axis.if u r new then it seems difficulty.so please take help of instructor or lab assistant or see user manual from ur lab.

lab assistant or see user manual from ur lab

Where is this Lab at ? or user manual?

Pulse width Modulation (PWM) waveforms look like?
how do i count the gradules to get the values to measure this?

You are asking a lot of questions that you could easily find most answers of with searching with Google. Also you will find it very difficult to understand if you have not mastered basic forms of circuit analysis. It is like trying to understand Fourier transforms without mastering basic college algebra, or trying to run before you can walk.

It will help other members if you state your current level of knowledge (1st year BSc, high school etc.)

Do you know what web sites show these waveforms on the oscilloscope?

I think you're not serious in asking question. Also, you do not appreciate 'answers' from others. Forumers suggested and replied clearly you can search using GOOGLE. I think you post questions just to gain post count or points. Your next question might be "How to use Google?"...

To Moderators:
I think 'walters' SIMPLY asked questions. Pls check ALL the posts by 'walters', and you will find why some forumers and I said so. Thanks.

you can use a digital storage oscilloscope.

best regards

like lab session's questions : )

actually you can measure based on the definition of each term.

some advanced digital scopes can help you (for e.g. they can easily display period/frequency of the signal).

Can you please show me how with oscilloscope pictures please?
