hfss assign voltage

Dear Sir:

I want to use voltage source instead of wave port in HFSS. But I find if I set up the retangulars as the same as the wave port to be a voltage source, I cannot get the S-para results. May I just use valtage source to get the S-para in Driven Model?Could you help me?? Thank you very much!!!

Regards,

wei

What you need is a lumped port.
Draw a narrow rectangle and assign the lumped port.
You can get S parameter that way.

(Ansoft voltage source is different from HP-HFSS's, if that's what you used before. HP-HFSS's voltage source worked as you described.)

You can use Voltage Source, if you want to look at the EM-field pattern, only!
For S-parameters getting you need to use Lumped or Wave ports.
