Intelligent power modules (IPMs)

Do these modules need separate power supplies for gate circuits? For example this one,

has four separate supply inputs for gate drive. Is this a must or only put to allow different usages? Shortly can this IPM work only with a single gate supply?

Nope... it needs separate power supplies for each upper drivers (it's clearly mentioned in the datasheet) :)
 

Its not as intelligent as it says then :)
 

Ha Ha... may be it's intelligent because it provides over current and over voltage protection. And, we still need to monitor both signals.
