if i use a bipolar junction transistor to amplify a radio signal from a radio receiver, would the bipolar junction transistor amplify the radio signal? i am using a bipolar transistor, not an operational amplifier.

Hi,

Since the 1950s BJTs are used in radio receivers.
And BJTs are amplifier circuits.
And many OPAMPS have BJTs inside.

I assume you didn´t do any internet research...please try this next time.

this is a schematic of the circuit i am planning to use.
i listen to a fm station on my spectrum analyser. the fm station is at 100.1 megahertz. this circuit is suppose to allow me to listen to that station.

i am planning to use a 5th order butterworth filter. i did some research to make sure if i pick these capacitor values and inductor values the bandpass filter will filter unwanted signals.

Is this a way tell "I've no clue how a BJT amplifier circuit looks like" or do you want to post circuit details?

just trying to learn how to build this antenna.

Hi,

learn how to do an internet search on your own: https://lmgtfy.com/?q=basic+bjt+tutorial

Please look for very basic bjt tutorials. An internet search for "basic bjt tutorial" gives over 1 million results. Explanations, courses, documents, even videos...
Learn what "FM" means..how it is transmitted and received...

Do search for "simple FM receiver circuit" and "simple bjt audio amplifier circuit"
