i am troubling in mixer design?
in fet resitance mixer design process(only vgs apply on gate):
Tone 1 applied to PORT2 defines the LO frequency and swept power(11.5ghz,14.9dbm,the power level should be optimized).
Tone 2 applied to PORT1 defines the RF frequency and power(14-16ghz,-20dbm).
PORT3 is if output(2.5-4.5ghz).
before i design matching and filtering circuits but i want to know:
1.how can i optimum dc bias,lo level and port impedance(rf,lo,if),what's the target(convertion loss and flat or others else)?
2.how to measure the LO input impedance,RF input impedance,IF output impedance(using hamonic or liner measurement)?
i am using microwave office 5.53.
luck for all here my dear friends.
