Hello everyone:
Can someone tell me how to simulate the SNR and THD of DAC in Hspice?

Hi.
There's a ".four" instruction in HSpice for calculating THD but it's not so accurate specially in SC circuits. So there's a very better solution. You can peak up your data from .lis file with printing desired information. then you should move this data to MATLAB® and do the FFT function there. after this moment you can calculate any dynamic specification like THD, SNR (SNDR) or SFDR.

EZT

Dear ezt
[1]When I add a ideal ADC before the DAC,I can get the DAC's sin output.then I want to simulate .four.
BUt the circuit is nonconvergence, How to resolve
the this convergence problem?
[2]Now I can't use the matlab, how to get the SNR result from the .four analysis result ?

many wave viewer tools can do fft with various type of windows multiply. such as spice_explorer.
