padstacks and obstacles in OrCade layout

hi,

i dont understand the use of all the obstacles types(top,bottom,board outline,...) specified in OrCade

i also dont know how to select the padstack for my IC adaptor( i mean the size and the shape), is there a way to show the pad stack while reviewing its name??

can anybody help???
