hi there,

Is there any body who download public pad frame from MOSIS and stream in cadence when NCSU design kit is installed. I download the public pad frame(TSMC 0.24) and stream in. Everything looks fine. But when I instantiate in my design library. I can not see all the layers. It seems to me layer definition is different. How to solve this problem.?

here is the only relavant link I found.
http://plaza.ufl.edu/cmcglone/eel5322/faqs.htm
But I can not understand what does that mean by "You will need to explicitly specify the ASCII technology file corresponding to the CMOS025/DEEP process. If you don't know what that is, you may reference it directly from ~cmcglone/public/tsmc25d.tf or download it directly here. " Where to put this?

Thank you very much.

I believe that you have streamed it in with different technology file.
You can see what techfile you have by selecting properties of the library in library manager.
In general you need to define technology file when streaming in.
That is done in the Import-> stream form in cadence under "ASCII technology dilename"

What you can try is to create new library with correct technology in it and then stream in the ring to this library.

If you have no idea where the techfile is there are 2 possibilities to find out. Usualy you have something called technology libraryand the other libraries (like your project) are attached to it.
If you don't you have to have a tecgfile somewhere (usualy .tf) and if you want to have an easy way - go in cadence to tools->technology file manager and dump the techfile from your project library
