Hello,

I want to see my operating as well as the max. clock frequency for my design after place and route. I have in the timing file "postRoute_all.tarpt" 50 paths and each having required and arrival times and slack, but I don't get how to calculate my operating freq. as well as max. freq. from the timing files.

Thanks

You need some critical thinking. If you have a timing report, then you have your max frequency.

I don't know what you mean by calculating operating frequency, as that is not calculated, that is set through SDC constraints. Your design will either meet or fail to meet said constraints.

you may test your design by running post route simulation , if the signals are generated ok and are green, the signals may be ok, if red then your clock is too fast for the system.

no one in their right mind would run post route simulation to achieve the same as a simple timing report.

there is a difference between a theory and practical. He needs to test it
