hi, i m designing a circuit where my input stage require only 1.2V for the Vdd but my output stage require 5V for the Vdd. Therefore, i need to use 2 different Vdd value for my circuit. I would like to ask whether can I use Vdd = 1.2V for the input stage circuit and Vcc = 5V for the output stage circuit ?

additional info: i would need to design the layout too for this circuit

Thank you in advance friends

I would like to ask whether can I use
Vdd = 1.2V for the input stage circuit
and Vcc = 5V for the output stage circuit ?
Yes, you can.

However you have to consider following.
- Surge Protection
- ESD Protection
- Ramp Up Conditions for Vdd=1.2V and Vcc=5V

Vdd and Vcc are just names for the supplies, if they are both 5V and the supplies are present at the right times, you can treat them as one supply.

2 different Vdd value in a circuit

hi, i m using mentor graphic for my circuit design. I m designing a rail to rail op amp. i need to supply 1.2v vdd to my complementary differential circuit while i need to supply 5v of vdd for my class ab amplifier becoz it consisted of 6 transitor, therefore it required 0.4x6=2.4v as i m using 0.13um technology. how do i connect my 5v Vdd? Thank you
