A single frequency number would usually designate a frequency band respectively its center frequency, e.g. 2.4 or 5 GHz. Bandwidth has to be specified additionally, if not given by the context, e.g. known bandwidth of WiFi bands.

Related to wide band amplifiers, a single number could also mean bandwidth. The context matters.
