Hello,

I am trying to simulate the dispersion diagram for a folded waveguide in HFSS. I have created a unit cell consisting of one pitch. I use only one master and one slave in the direction of the waveguide periodicity and simulate a frequency sweep from 0 to PI. For some reason, I don't get reasonable results. Can anyone help me? Do I need more than one master/slave boundary condition maybe?

Thanks!

One M/S pair should be enough. Based on the information you've provided, it sounds like the simulation should be successful. What data are you obtaining?

Thanks for your answer, PlanarMetamaterials!

It was indeed enough, the reason was a small, but heavy mistake - the unit of the phase shift for the sweep was wrong.
