Hi all,

I'm trying to extract parasitics with Cadence Quantus QRC tool after using MG Calibre flow for DRC and LVS.

The PDK of TSMC 0.18um only provides files for Assure and Calibre. So I've followed Quantus QRC user guide to convert Calibre lvsfile and procfile into QRC supported files. Besides I have also compiled a qrcTechFile, which is not accepted by QRC.

Have anyone experience in something similar - maybe with other process?

Cheers,
David

Hi David -

You need to generate CCI (QCI) database from Calibre SVRF database (using Calibre Query Server - you need to have CCI license to do that), and use that CCI as one of the inputs when compiling QRC techFile.
Ask Cadence for help, as these things can get tricky and might require Cadence support (especially so that PDK for QRC is not provided - as this is a relatively old technology, developed when QRC was not there yet).

Max

P.S. p2lvsfile and procfile are native Cadence files (predecessors for layer_setup (mapping ) file and ICT (BEOL stack) file).

Hi Max,

Thanks for your reply.

I already translated Calibre LVS database into Cadence format before running the techfile compilation.

Any other suggestions? I have contacted Cadence support anyway.

David
