relation between slot positions and current density in antennas

1. how various slot position are determined based on the current density.

2. what is the relation between the two. the higher the current density near the radiator the better antenna it is.?? so what steps are generally followed when slots are to be cut in antenna, and also

3. what is the relation between the current density and the radiation, why the radiation gets better on cutting slot at high current zones.
 

1. you have answered this in 3 , yes slots should be cut at positions with high current density.
 

but why? in the microwave bench do they not cut the slot at highest electric field point where it is connected to the vswr meter through the point contact diode probe so that max voltage in the line can be seen.???
