Hello everyone! I have a problem. I'm supposed to create a countdown timer from 9 to 0 on a 7 segments display in MP LAB with PIC 16f877A. Now the problem is that I have to do this due tommorow and we never studied programming at all. During classes the teacher just gave us printed asm files and have us type them in MP LAB. Now, in order to pass this exam I have to do something that's way too difficult for my actual programming knowledge, creating a project on my own with no information at all.
Oh man, the tension and headache is real.
Could anyone PLEASE,for the love of God help me with this issue? The thought of not passing is really stressful.

Here is a forum proposed to host technical discussions; I do not feel encouraged to help someone who can take a degree without even trying to start a single line of code. There are a lot of examples on Edaboard with which you could start as template. If you have some knowledge in programming you'll see that it is possible to do that.

I can help you with the code. Tell me which compiler you are using and which IDE. Also post your circuit.

Okada, there are probably 1,000 people here who can help with code but handing over a finished project to a student who has left everything until the last minute and even then not given us any clue of how it's wired is not going to help them or anybody else.

The task is extremely simple and everyone here is willing to assist but we should encourage learning, not hand someone a 'pass' for anothers hard work.

Brian.
