Hi,

I came to know about the different libraries like standard cell libraries, timing libraries ,capacitance libraries and someother libraries for checking corners in timing with slow.lib,typical.lib and fast.lib.

I am having only some libraries as i mentioned on top "tcbn28hpmbwp35cd3nmulvtff0p88v0c.lib" .
q1) which library it is ? (what i think is a std-cell library)
q2) Is it contains timing info also, if yes, can i call it as timing library?.
q3) cadence provided us wth some libraries like slow.lib, fast.lib and typical.lib and said these are dummy libraries for example tutorials and said that i need to purchase these from a technology partner . so, will " tcbn28hpmbwp35cd3nmulvtff0p88v0c.lib" fullfills this job (i.e it is substitute or alternative to slow.lib,ty.lib and fast.lib)??

kindly, help me

Regards,
Anil

1. Standard cell library is a lib of only all standard cells. There are other .lib for analog macro, memory, IO cells...
From its name, you can call it a standcell library.

2. Yes, it contains timing info. But I never refer it as timing library because, timing is a large word in term of ASIC design which has front-end, back-end, and it has many other data as called timing libs.

3. You give us a filename of a library and ask us to confirm OK for your job or not, sound like something strange since we can do yours.
Should you ask this question to the person who gave you the library ?

step 1: make sure you obtained this library legally
step 2: read the documentation
step 3: ask a colleague/boss if you should be using it or another one for your design
