How to make multiple components in altium database from excel

Hi,

I have two columns in excel for resistors
one column is resistor value, other is its actual part number (0603 series)
I know altium can read excel file but is it possible that I can make 100s of components in altium database library and as they all are basically resistors, I want to link them to one single schematic symbol instead of making same schematic symbol for all 100s of resistors multiple times. Is it possible?

Yes this is possible. Just make one symbol( in my case I named it RES) and use that symbol name under library reference for all resistors. Capture.PNG

I use access file instead of excel.
