HELLO !
I want to simulate a microstrip patch antenna using FEKO but I get an error saying that
Code:
ERROR 21: The metallic edge for the excitation does not exist
I am really a newbie to FEKO and any help doing this simulation is very appreciated.
Note: I am attatching the antenna figure.
Thank you in advance! patch_B4M.png

Hello @ B4M

Since you are using edge port, there must be two metallic faces (positive and negative) attached to the edge.
From your figure, its clearly seen that only your edge(feedline) is of metallic in nature.

Which version of feko are you using ?

Hello Soundav! do you mean that I have to define another metallic face, if so where should it be placed in your opinion?!
Note: I am using a student version 14.0.

Hi B4M,
Can you upload the model or base paper?

i usually do the method shown in the picture above
i.e. creating a polyline, sweeping it and giving edge port.

the most common method i prefer is using multisub layer and microstrip port

Hi B4M, i tried opening the .rar file you sent but there is an error in opening the file.
can you send the .cfs (session file) also?
