    can i use wifi module alone to control system

    hello

    i have arduino and wifi module esp8266 on tx side , i want to control relay using only wi fi at rx side.
    is it possible to do that??
    if not then how could i do that??

    Hi,

    You can clearly do what you want. In fact you dont need an arduino or any mcu.

    ESP8266 is an programmable Wifi module. You can upload your sketch with Arduino IDE or LUA.

    You can switch your relay by the help of a tansistor.

    Yes you're right.

    You need :

    1) USB to UART Converter(Must be 3.3v). This can be FT232RL or CP2102 Modules.
    2) https://github.com/esp8266/Arduino
    In this site you can see how you will upload your sketch to your ESP8266 Module.
