hello
can i use ad8138 adc driver for driving ads801 adc?
can we use ad8138 for driving any adc in differential mode?
what circuit i should use when i drive ads801 using ad8138?
any help is appreciated

Hi,

Yes you can drive the ADS801.

But I can't say that you can drive any differential ADC with it.
Semeone needs to read the datasheets. I'd say you. ;-)

AD8138 and other fully differential amplifiers can be well used to drive ADS801 (and I'd say "can" drive virtually any differential ADC input, but more or less advisable). You can start with a AD8138 data sheet example circuit.

Analog design knowledge is needed to optionally modify the circuit according to your application requirements.

thank you dear friends for your help
so i can drive ADS801. what about ad9280?
datasheet of AD9280 did not propose driver ic for differential operation, instead proposed this circuit:

1- can i use AD8138 for this ADC too?
2- can i get a proper answer from simulation?(i did not found spice model for these adcs although have ibis models!)
thank you in advance

1 yes, but I hope you can answer the question yourself by analyzing the circuit. Not sure if it is recommended for DC operation.
2 no, I won't expect SPICE models for any of these ADCs, at least no models that give useful information about dynamic device behavior

hello again!
I have one question about driving ad9280 in differential mode
in this picture:
ad9280diff.jpg
what is AVDD/2 that used as common. should i do anything about it?

AVDD/2 has to be driven to the center tap, e.g. by a sufficient low ohmic voltage divider with bypass capacitors. With a differential driver, Vcom should be connected respectively.
