The second paragraph pretty much sums up what the paper is about.
The Xilinx® SMPTE SD/HD/3G-SDI
LogiCORE™ IP is a generic SD I receive/transmit datapath that does not have any device-specific control functions. This application note provides a module containing control logic to couple the SMPTE SD/HD/3G-SDI LogiCORE IP with the Kintex®-7 FPGA GTX transceivers to form a complete SDI interface.

Not sure why that doesn't address your question. The output of this paper should be the SDI IP core's output.
 

Hi,
Somehow I am about to extract luminace signal(Y) from video signal(YUV) of SDI. All I need is to monitor/plot luminace signal(Y) but don't know how to do that? Any idea?

the document you posted is quite clear about where the luminance signal is - on the rx_ds1a signal (or rx_ds2a or rx_ds2b depending on input format).

What exactly is the problem?
 

Hi,
Although I observed rx_ds1a (Y) signal in chipscope pro but when I forward this to tx_video_a_y_in signal (making others 3 rx_ds2a, rx_ds1b and rx_ds2b to zero) as shown in block diagram(SDI Pass-Through Demonstration) page 61 of the document. I don't receive any transmitter output. Is there any control signal which also has to be changed?
