A 10 PDLC film working on 50V AC is to be switched on in a sequential manner. each film requires below 250mA current. What is the best choice to do it?

i think an AC switch with a 1A bipolar transistor and full diode bridge is quite appropriate for your purpose ;

I want to On and off different windows at different instants

Could be....by switching the transistor On/Off at different instants ?

I want to On and off different windows at different instants

If not the case, you certainly need to elaborate the question.

I want to On and off different windows at different instants
you can use one of this switch for each window and control them with an MCU or even manually

Asking a question correctly, providing sufficient detail on what you want to achieve and what have you done so far, is the only way that you will obtain meaningful answers.

Now, I know that English is not the first language for many forum posters and they have difficulty explaining themselves. In that case a simple diagram will help in making your point clear.
