Linear circuit with a dependent current source.

Hi guys,

I found this circuit the web and I thought to give it a try and solve it.

The answer that I get is that V1/I1 = 1 / (k + 1/R2).

The correct answer is 1/k assuming that R2 is much larger than 1/k.Can someone try solve it for me to compare if my solution is correct?

Yes, it is even if more correctly you should write:

V1/I1 = -1/(k + 1/R2)

this for the active and passive sign convention

if R2 >> 1/k means k >> 1/R2 so in the previous expression 1/R2 is negligible, thus:

V1/I1 ≈ -1/k

Yeah, I forgot the negative sign, because the current k*V1 enters in the negative polarity of the R3.
