Hi,
I was going through the induced EMF topic for finding the self impedance of a thin dipole in Balanis and he has writen this equation:
V1 = (1/I1)* ∫ Ez*Iz dl
where V1 and I1 are the voltage and current at the dipole terminals. Ez is the z directed electric field and Iz is the current at z distance from the origin.
I could not find a derivation for this and could not understand how this equation came about.
Could someone please explain how this equation came about.
Thanks!!
