Hey guys.
I've looked at datasheet of PIC32MZ2048EFH064 and it says it has Ethernet support.
But does it mean that the Ethernet is integrated like in pic18f66j60?

I ask because I've been searching for example schematic and found PIC32-EMZ-REV-B board.
It has PIC32MZ2048EFH064 and.... LAN8710A-EZC chip for ethernet!
But WHY?

PS: I am attaching cshematic of PIC32-EMZ-REV-B Olimex in pdf!
View attachment PIC32-EMZ64_Rev_B_sch.pdf

Why are they using a separate LAN8710A for Ethernet with PIC32MZ2048EFH064 and is it possible to control ethernet with PIC32MZ2048EFH064 and without any external chips?

Ther is a builtin Ethernet Controller (MAC), but you still need an external Interface converter (PHY)
The PHY is connected to the MAC via standardized Medium-Independent-Interface (MII or RMII).
This is common to almost all ethernet-capable µC
