[ARM] How to understand if an STM32F4xx Series MCU is broken/burned or not

Hi all,

As my design in which I used an STM32F407VGT6 uC chip is not working, I would like to know that the uC is still working.

How can I figure out if it's still working, i.e. not broken/burned, or not.

3.3V on reset pin, oscillation on crystal

Okay, but is it a way to understand without giving power, like the one in transistors.

What does it mean if there is 3.3V in reset pin, but there is no oscillation on the crystal. I'm sure there is no design issue in the crystal part.

By default, it starts from internal RC oscillator. So oscillation not a mandatory, but if there are cristal present and firmware is loaded, probably, it is used and oscillation should be there.
Anyway, you can try to connect st-link debugger and try connect to mcu using st-link utility.
