Dear All,

I am thinking of making a AM/FM radio using TEA5710. I was looking for a TEA5767 breakout board but was unable to locate one and found TEA5710 DIP IC instead.

I have no prior experience in designing a radio and have never done so. Can anyone please explain me the values and components mentioned in the datasheet?

1. What should be values of L1, L2, L3, etc? Can I find them as ready components or have to build them?

2. The pin 14 is a selection pin for AM/FM. According to the datasheet when it is grounded, the IC is tuned for FM reception but I do not get if it needs to be connected to Vcc for AM reception or what?

3. I want to digital tune the radio, so what should I use instead of the tuning capacitor?

May be some of the doubts are elementary and may seem obvious but one has to start learning somewhere.

Thanks,

Abhishek

In the datasheet of TEA5710 is mentioned the value of most of the inductors.
