Hi all,

What are the major design considerations for production version, becoz i didn't face this situation. I have a experience in only small quantity design products but for production i need to take more care for my design. So kindly suggest me the most important things in design.Actually am using a debugging tool of UMultilink: Universal Multilink Development Interface for NXP(Freescale) Controller up to minimum quantity i can program easily using this debugger for Production 1000 or more how can i program? Is there any special device for production version in NXP.

Have you tested reliability of product under worst case environment for susceptibility and margin?
DFM? DFT?
Or are merely asking about efficient programming method?

Production products that will be sold to the general public MUST meet regulatory agency requirements.

Most regulatory requirements fall into three wide categories: safety, emissions and environmental impact.

Different countries have different regulatory requirements, unfortunately I'm not familiar with the ones in India.

For prototype product installed in the customer end with good feedback, its not tested any DFT or DFM but for production version it should meet some criteria EMI, EMC, Vibration Test etc. Also tell me what are test it should pass and give some details about the various test.
Actually am not asking about the way of programming style instead am asking about how to dump code in to the controller using universal multi link for larger no of controllers in production.

If it's a larger run you may want to optimise your design to shave the prices and maybe
source components differently. Every penny saved mounts up quickly.
Also check if your design is capable of upscaling with your manufacturer and they
can handle the quantities you need. Often a PCB manufacturer is the best place
to source components for high volumes too. Depending on your chips
you may find the chip manufacturer is the best place to hard code roms/micros etc.
Don't forget to look into packaging after the design is finished ... (a mistake I made once.)
