Hello, guys
You know, we learn from the textbook that the field mode analysis of transmission line is idea i.e. the transmission direction is along z axis and the mode is TEM.
Then, how to analyze the bend transmission line mode?
What makes the wave bend also? you may say that the current makes the bend. but what makes the current bend? you may say that the transmission line bend makes the current bend.
But how to understand them from field theroy view?

Thanks in advance.

Bends on a TEM line do not create other modes but cause reflections. To reduce reflections, various manuals recommend to increase bend radius or modify characteristic impedance .
