CDROM AUDIO Controller using Atmel is one project version_2 present to friends.
I've recovered the, ehem, corrupted Eagle files which couldn't be opened. Additionally I've printed the schematics in PDF files for those of you not possessing Eagle.

Btw. some infos are missing: the connections between the boards, some device specs (e.g. Q3 = 24MHz ?), descriptions etc. Preda, it would be nice if you could provide these infos.

Looks like a really good work :D

Has anyone done a PCB layout for the Wilson audio controller? If so please could you share otherwise I will try and make some time to do this, it is pointless everyone design PCB for one project.

Hello !

Has anybody tested the Wilson audio controller (it seems that this is the MuCop) ? Same circuit has been discous on other forum DiyAudio and there they are saying that the controller don't work very well with the original firmware.

Cheers

Indeed, it would be nice if someone who has debugged the opensource mucop
would share the corrected source.
I do know the elector project (2004) does work but plays single tracks as is.

There are 2 different controllers, one is the mucop/16f877 and the second is an atmel based project.

cd rom pic16

Hi
I'm a new user here so I'm not allowed to download the Cortex's attached file (wilson.zip).
could anyone please upload it for me?

You need to increase your points to download file. currently you only have 0.5 points with means you can only download 500kb of file, Cotrex file on the other hand is greater than 700KB. I'll report your message to increase your point after that you can now download the file you want. If this doesn't work try to post reply to increase your points by 3. You can do this also to me if you find it usefull. Thank you

diy audio controller

Hi:
seems like a nice project however, at a glance on schematics here are few querries:
first lcd seem to be a backlit type which means it should be a 16 pin not 14 pin one, how the back lit lcd is operated? am i correct...
secondly pic IO lines are connected to lower bits of LCD i.e d0 to d3, whereas standard connection means that under a 4 bit operation IO lines should be connected to D4 to D7?
I will try and add I.R (sony) to the circuit and will upload once i complete it.
